“Ville Inclusive” initiative aims to enhance research and promote solutions to support the development of more inclusive cities for people with disabilities and their families.
Still to this day, people with disabilities encounter urban and social barriers that prevent them from participating fully in the life of their community. Our initiative seeks to contribute to the development of community planning, policies, programs, services and actions that meet all the needs of the population, regardless of their physical or cognitive abilities.
Several social innovation projects are developed, and deserve to be known by all. “Ville Inclusive” website seeks to improve access to urban infrastructure and services while making information on innovative projects more accessible to the entire population. In this sense, it is intended as a reference on the notions of universal design and accessibility.
“Ville Inclusive” is a project that is the logical continuation of an already strong collaboration between CIRRIS (Centre interdisciplinaire de recherche en réadaptation et intégration sociale) and INDCP to improve access and social participation of people with disabilities.
